On Monday, a 12-person jury unanimously found Robert Keegan not guilty of the charge of second-degree murder for the shooting of 19 year old Aidan Ellison.
Instead he was found guilty of first-degree manslaughter, unlawful possession of a firearm and recklessly endangering another person.
A guilty second degree murder verdict could have resulted in a sentence of life in prison.
A first-degree manslaughter conviction carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years.

“Nothing about Aidan’s murder can ever be made right, or fair, or okay. What we call for is justice; a recognition of what Keegan did and punishment for his actions. Without punishment for murder, for stealing an innocent life, this conviction isn’t justice.”

Another way to help…
Write to the judge and ask him to sentence Robert Keegan to the full extent of the law.
Also, ask for sentencing of all three charges consecutively.
