One Night Only – Friday, September 5 at the Historic Holly Theatre in Medford, Oregon
MEDFORD, OR – The Black Alliance & Social Empowerment (BASE) is proud to present the BASE Comedy Jam, a groundbreaking comedy fundraiser bringing electrifying talent, community joy, and powerful purpose to Southern Oregon. Taking place Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Historic Holly Theatre, this one-night-only event promises to be a cultural celebration filled with laughter, music, food, and impact.
This dynamic evening features a powerhouse lineup of nationally celebrated comedians:
• Ron G. – Emmy Award-winning producer, actor, and comedian known from NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Kevin Hart Presents…, HBO’s Insecure, and Key & Peele
• Drew Thomas – Finalist from NBC’s Last Comic Standing, featured on The Late Late Show and Laughs on FOX
• Shenise – A brilliant rising voice from the Bay Area shaking up the comedy scene
• Carl Lee – Host and Medford’s own, bringing laughs and energy as an alum of NBC’s Last Comic Standing
• DJ Gemineye – The official DJ of the University of Oregon Ducks, setting the vibe with music and movement
Doors open at 7:00 PM for VIPs General Admission begins at 8:00 PM Showtime starts at 8:30 PM

More Than Just Comedy – It’s a Fundraiser for the Future
All proceeds from the BASE Comedy Jam directly support Black youth education, leadership development, mentorship programming, and family services support. This includes critical collaborations with partners like Local School Districts, Local Law Enforcement Agencies and Local nonprofit organizations, helping us create accessible pathways for growth, creativity, and empowerment in Southern Oregon.
